3,000 Career Receiving Yard Wide Receiver Signs with the Bills

NFL

Since coming into the NFL in 2017, wide receiver Curtis Samuel has always been somewhat underrated. Samuel played his first four years with the Carolina Panthers before moving on and signing with the Washington Commanders. He played the last three seasons with the Commanders before hitting the free-agent market at the end of the 2023 NFL season. Now, Curtis has just signed a three-year deal 24-million-dollar deal with a chance to be worth up to around 30 million, and 15 million being guaranteed by the Buffalo Bills. Hopefully, with the Bills, Samuel will have an opportunity to shine more and get more recognition from the fans and NFL analysts.

Curtis Samuel played college football at Ohio State University under head coach Urban Meyer. With the Buckeyes, he won the College Football National Championship Game in 2015. Samuel would go on and be selected in the second round, the 40th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. Curtis’ best season with the Panthers was in 2020 when he had 851 receiving yards along with three receiving touchdowns. While he’s played some great football with Washington over the past three years, it hasn’t been anything jaw-dropping, especially because the Commanders haven’t seen the postseason since 2020.

Last season, Curtis Samuel played in 16 games with the Commanders. With 62 receptions, Samuel had 613 receiving yards with four touchdown catches. His best game during the 2023 season was during a 45-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Curtis had nine receptions for 100 yards in the loss. During a 28-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Curtis caught two touchdown passes. With this 3,000 career receiving yards wide receiver signing with the Bills do they have what it takes to make the playoffs?
