Bobby Lashley Departs WWE

WWE

Bobby Lashley is now a free agent after his contract ended. People are shocked that WWE fumbled his current run. After months of not seeing Bobby Lashley on TV. People began questioning if he was injured or if WWE did not have anything written for him. He suffered from an injury ever since then WWE did not know how to book him.

Bobby Lashley is a generational talent. He has the passion to keep wrestling after signing with WWE twice. Before he signed with WWE again, he went to wrestle for other wrestling companies like Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, NJPW, and Lucha Libre AAA. His last opponent in WWE was Santos Escobar for the WWE European live tour on May 5, 2024. What began as a successful run, in the beginning, started to go downhill after his WWE championship run. Many people expected Bobby Lashley to find success after teaming up with MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander as the Hurt Business. People could even say that Bobby Lashley's storyline with Lana ruined his momentum. The feud with Rusev felt like a soap opera among fans. People were annoyed by the booking of the two.

Bobby Lashley was then paired up with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins as a heel faction. The faction was good until once again WWE did not know how to book the three. They suffered from inconsistency including resorting back to faces. Bobby Lashley will depart WWE making him a free agent for other wrestling companies to sign. The downside of his departure is not having him wrestle John Cena again during his retirement tour one last time.

As people wait to see where Bobby Lashley will sign next. Many fans want Bobby Lashley and MVP together again. If MVP wrestles for New Japan Pro Wrestling, one could imagine he could bring his friend along as a surprise return. Bobby Lashley can still wrestle. At 48 years old, he can still wrestle until he retires. Some fans want Bobby Lashley to return to NJPW while others want him in TNA again. AEW is on the table as a new destination for him. Fans can make guesses but only time will tell once he signs the contract.
