Early Candidates Who Could Win the Men’s 2024 Money in the Bank

WWE

This year’s Money in the Bank premium live event takes place on Saturday, July 6th in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There are certainly a few wrestlers who have the opportunity to take their career to new heights, win the Money in the Bank briefcase, and challenge a title holder for a championship. Last year, Damian Priest of ‘The Judgment Day’ won the men’s 2023 Money in the Bank event. Priest became known as El Señor Money in the Bank and cashed in at WrestleMania XL against Drew McIntyre to win the World Heavyweight Championship. To me, the winner of this year’s Money in the Bank will mostly challenge the title holder of the World Heavyweight Championship or the Intercontinental Championship. While there are a lot of viable options, here are three WWE superstars who are early candidates to win the 2024 Money in the Bank briefcase.

Jey Uso

With a loss to Damian Priest as Backlash for the World Heavyweight Championship and a loss to Gunther during the King of the Ring Semifinals, many believe it’s time to take the ‘Main Event’ tag off of Jey Uso. However, if the younger Uso brother wins the Money in the Bank briefcase, there will be no reason to take that tag off as once again Jey has the spotlight in another big title match. Uso has looked to prove time and time again that he is capable of being a singles wrestler and winning a singles championship without anyone’s help. Jey is also determined to show that he’s one of the best competitors the RAW brand has to offer. If the younger Uso wins the Money in the Bank briefcase, certainly expect him to try and take that World Heavyweight Championship once again, whether that be from Priest, McIntrye, or Gunther.

Finn Balor

Last year we saw ‘The Judgement Day’ Damian Priest win the men’s Money in the Bank tournament. Who says we don’t see another ‘Judgement Day’ member win it again this year? Finn Balor has been in line for a championship match for a long time now since his days of being known as ‘The Demon’. Balor became the WWE’s first Universal Champion back at SummerSlam 2016, and he will look to regain that championship status once again. With Rhea Ripley being injured, we have seen a lot of mistrust and a fragmented ‘Judgement Day’. There is a possibility that this dynamic faction may break apart, and one of the guys who may be the cause of this is Balor. It would definitely be interesting to see Balor win the Money in the Bank briefcase and challenge his ‘Judgement Day’ partner Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship. We saw these two win the RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Championships, but a match between the two would certainly be exhilarating.

Chad Gable

After losing in a triple-threat match for the Intercontinental Championship after being hit by a clothesline by Alpha Academy member Otis, Alpha Academy leader Chad Gable may set his sights on entering the Money in the Bank match. Gable has been on a tear since losing on RAW a couple of weeks back for the Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn as he turned heel and started to talk down upon the Alpha Academy of wrestlers he created. Turning heel, and then winning the Money in the Bank briefcase would certainly show how much of a top-heel Gable has been over the past few months. If he were to win, the Alpha Academy leader would most likely try to take down Sami Zayn’s reign as Intercontinental champion.
