In the wake of the all-star break, there’s a returned sense of normalcy around the NBA landscape. Leading up to the break, there were a lot of blowouts, ill-timed injuries, or players that hadn’t been playing up to their usual standard, leading to skewed data and bets not being as successful. The NBA is back in the regular swing of things now and players have gotten a week off and should be more motivated to be consistent as we get closer to the playoffs. These are our best plays of the day.

Luka Dončić/Under 31.5 Points (-122 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

We’re aware that Luka Dončić is coming off his best game as a Lakers thus far scoring 32 points. We’re also aware that tonight is the much-anticipated revenge game in LA versus the Mavericks. Those two things would typically be pretty good indications that Doncic is going over that mark again, but Doncic has only registered that type of performance once so far in his Laker tenure. Through four games, Doncic averages 18.5 PPG and is still getting his feet wet in LA. Doncic in two home games in LA has shot two of 16 from three-point range as well. His 32-point performance against the Nuggets came in 31 minutes and hovers around his current minutes restriction so it’s not likely he goes past 32-35 minutes, especially if not needed to with players like Lebron James and Austin Reaves carrying the load. The Mavericks will also look to swarm Doncic and not let him be the reason why the Lakers offense flourishes if it does. There’s a lot of pride on the line tonight, our best play money is on his point total under.

Kevin Durant to Score 25+ Points (-172 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Slim Reapor and the Suns are back in action tonight traveling to Memphis to take on Ja Morant and the Grizzlies. Kevin Durant has been in a weird time vortex in his career this season as he’s been playing as efficiently of basketball as he has in his career, but the Suns are sitting at 27-30 and outside of the Play-In Tournament. Durant has recently reached the 30,000 career points milestone but it hasn’t translated to team success and there’s growing concern he won’t be back next season. About tonight’s match-up, although he’ll be going up against All-NBA Defender Jaren Jackson Jr., this is Kevin Durant we’re talking about. His points line sits at 26.5, taking him for 25 should be a comfortable best-play hit. The overall game total is set at 245.5 which would be a fairly high-scoring affair and with Durant coming off an off-night scoring 15 points versus the Raptors, look for this game to be a bounce-back return to form.

Kristaps Porzingis to Score 2+ Made Threes (-230 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

Kristaps Porziņģis is the 7’3 Latvian army knife of the Celtics, when healthy he does just enough of everything to make the Celtics top contenders while looking to repeat as champions. The Raptors don’t give up many three-pointers to centers, but Porzingis isn’t a regular center. Along with the pick-and-pop game between, well any Celtic ball handler and Porzingis, top-of-the-key threes should be open and often. Porzingis went two of nine in the win vs the Knicks on Feb. 23rd but shoots the three at a 41% clip, expect an efficient bounce back tonight. On the January 15th matchup against the Raptors, Porzingis cashed four threes made in five attempts. Tonight, with a spread of -11, expect Porzingis to cash this best play early on.
