Official World Golf Ranking: Seventh

Wins: 1

Major Wins: 0

2024 Summary

Clark’s 2024 season could certainly be seen as a drop-off compared to his career-changing 2023 season. In 2023 he claimed his first tour victory at the Wells Fargo Championship and followed that up a month later by claiming a Major Championship at the U.S. Open at L.A. Country Club. In 2024 Clark got off to a hot start and claimed an early victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and a month later he was runner-up at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and at the Players Championship. It was looking like he was going to be the one to challenge Scottie Scheffler’s dominance all year, but that didn’t turn out to be in the cards for him. He ended up missing the cut at The Masters, missing the cut PGA Championship, the Memorial Tournament, tied for 56th at the U.S. Open, and missing the cut at The Open Championship. Clark was 11th in strokes gained total, 18th in strokes gained off the tee, 96th in strokes gained on approach shots, and 19th in strokes gained putting. He is currently the seventh-ranked player in the official world golf rankings.

2025 Prediction

Clark has played one event so far in 2025, the Sentry in Hawaii, where he finished tied for 15th. If he wants to have any success in the 2025 season, Clark is going to have to be better in his consistency and his accuracy. He isn’t particularly known for his accuracy and is known more for his power, he ranked eighth in distance in 2024, and, while this formula works at some of the courses on tour, it isn’t a recipe for success week in and week out. He is, however, a very talented, seasoned veteran, so he has the potential to find that magic any given week, especially at bomber-friendly courses. The prediction Wyndham Clark’s 2025 is one win or less, will contend at one Major Championship, specifically at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club, potentially earn a spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup Team via points or Captain’s Pick, and finish a top 20 player on the official world golf rankings.
