Hawks Triumph Over Bucks as Risacher Leads Atlanta to Victory

NBA

On March 30, 2025, the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 145-124 at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum. Zaccharie Risacher led the Hawks with a career-high 36 points, and Trae Young had a double-double with 19 points and 19 assists. This victory ended Atlanta’s two-game losing streak. It also puts them in a close battle for the seventh playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

In the first quarter, the Bucks shot an incredible 85% from the field, demonstrating their offensive domination as the game got underway. Milwaukee’s early efforts were led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who went 9 for 11 in the first half to score 21 points. The Bucks were effective offensively, but the Hawks were able to stay competitive because of their defensive shortcomings. At the end of the first quarter, Milwaukee had a 44-37 lead.

The Hawks gained momentum in the second quarter and ended the half with a 14 to five run. Georges Niang, who scored all 17 points in this quarter, was crucial throughout this time. Atlanta led 82-75 at the half as their offensive surge led 82-75 at the half as their offensive surge led to a 45-point fourth. The game’s dynamic changed significantly as a result of the Bucks' defense's inability to stop the Hawks' complex approach.

The Hawks continued to dominate the third quarter, starting it with a nine-to-one run. The Bucks were held to only 17 points during the quarter by Atlanta’s tightening defense. With 22 points and a new team record for single-season steals, Dyson Daniels made a huge contribution. The Hawks had taken a decisive 118-92 advantage by the end of the third.

Kevin Porter Jr. scored 20 points off the bench as the Bucks made an effort at a comeback in the last quarter. Milwaukee made an effort, but they were unable to overcome the significant disadvantage. With a margin of up to 27 points, the Hawks continued to keep control. Atlanta won because of their 53.2% shooting percentage, 18 second-chance points, and 28 points off Milwaukee's 14 turnovers. The Hawks now lead the series after defeating the Bucks for the third time in their five regular-season games. The Bucks are currently one and a half games behind the Detroit Pistons for the No.5 playoff spot in the Eastern Conference after losing nine of their past thirteen games and going on a four-game losing streak.
