How the Latest Trade with the New York Knicks Will Impact the 76ers

NFL

The NBA was not feeling great after a trade was made this past weekend after a trade was made to the New York Knicks. Karl Anthony Towns will be heading to the Big Apple this coming season. The Knicks have gotten times better now that they have gained another decent individual. They have altered the playing field, and the Philadelphia 76ers will feel it. It doesn’t look good for them, but they must work hard to take on one of their rivals.

The Knicks landing Towns from Minnesota was one of the biggest things to happen during the offseason. Basketball training camps are just a few days away. New York already has big names such as Mikal Bridges and Jalen Brunson.  With all these All-Star players on their roster, they have become one of the top offenses in the NBA.

The 76ers have a little bit to worry about playing against them this season. Towns can work with anything. However, the 76ers have a favorable match-up when it comes to him and the Knicks. If the 76ers can do it, they will put Joel Embiid on him; this is where Towns is weak, and the team has a chance against them.

Whether Towns can thrive in a hostile environment like New York remains to be seen. He has been a decent player while he made things happen playing in Minnesota, so there shouldn’t be any reason why he can’t. He will also play under Tom Thibodeau—someone who did not bring him such stellar results. However, the Knicks finally have a decent team for the first time in decades.

The 76ers just watched as one of their key rivals within the league got better. This is not a good sign for them. It’s not up to them if they can be put to the test and beat them during the regular season. Their training camps need to be full of work before they officially return to the court in October; they just need to find a way to make their baller club better than theirs.
