L.A Knight US Title Win Giving Hope for the Future?
This past Friday, on Friday Night SmackDown, L.A. Knight secured a victory, winning his second United States Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura. This adds another huge achievement to his growing career. It wasn’t an easy win, but it highlighted Knight’s determination and the undeniable momentum he's building in WWE. It is hopeful that this means his career is going to continuously be on the up from here.
L.A Knight has been one of the most charismatic and entertaining figures in WWE for some time, but it seems as if the WWE has kept him in stagnant storylines as of late, feuding with the same couple of wrestlers including Carmelo Hayes and Shinsuke Nakamura. Knight’s ability to captivate the crowd with his charisma which feels like it is unlimited, has made him a fan favorite with the audience. Having these tools should guarantee a spot in the higher card for PLEs. Unfortunately, as of late, it has not as he has consistently only been featured on televised matches.
One way L.A. Knight could be bumped up the car after his next stint with the US Championship is by putting him in a feud with a heel John Cena before Cena eventually retires. This rivalry would give Knight a chance to show off his sharp skills and push him into the main-event scene, especially since his talent clearly stands out among most of the SmackDown roster. His recent wins have only boosted his credibility, and a heated rivalry with Cena could push him into the same league as some of WWE’s biggest stars. As fans keep rallying behind him, it's only a matter of time before WWE takes notice and makes him a major player in their lineup.
With WWE's history of moving quickly on aging stars, now is the perfect time to speed up L.A Knight's push. He’s more than ready for the big stage and deserves to be seen as one of WWE’s top performers. The company can’t afford to wait too long to capitalize on his momentum. Stars like him are only a few every generation, and now is the time to capitalize.
