Moves from the WWE Transfer Portal Thus Far

WWE

Back at the beginning of December, the WWE announced a transfer portal where either male or female superstars can switch the brand they’re on whether that’s Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown, or NXT. While we have heard or seen some of these transfers take place over the past couple of weeks, over the past week on Raw and SmackDown it’s heated up significantly. We have yet to see any superstars from NXT make the transfer to either Raw or SmackDown, however, it’s quite possible some, more specifically Trick Willams and Roxanne Perez, two former NXT Champions make the jump to the main roster. It’s certain there will be more transfers in the next few weeks, but for now, let’s take a look at everyone who has switched brands.

Monday Night Raw

This past Monday on Raw, Bayley announced that she is the newest member of the red brand. During the 2023 WWE Draft, Bayley along with her former stablemates in Damage CTRL were moved to SmackDown. After being removed from Damage CTRL, winning the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble, and defeating Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania XL, Bayley is now looking ahead to the Women’s World Championship held by Rhea Ripley. Bayley had one last chance to regain the WWE Women’s Championship on the January 17th episode of SmackDown after she became the number one contender but fell short to the champion, Tiffany Stratton. It was also announced on the January 24th episode of SmackDown that Austin Theory and Grayson Waller of A-Town Down Under will be heading to Raw. The big question for A-Town Down Under is will they eventually disband after months of what seemed like this tag team will come to an end or will they compete for the World Tag Team Championships currently held by the War Raiders.

Friday Night SmackDown

Over the past few weeks, we have heard and seen Braun Strowman move brands as well as the Wyatt Sicks. On the January 24th episode of SmackDown, general manager Nick Aldis announced that The Miz and Damian Priest will be the newest additions to the roster. After purposely moving the Wyatt Sicks from Raw to SmackDown, The Miz finds himself in an uncomfortable position as one of the brand’s newest members. Perhaps we will get this story with the Wyatts, Miz, and Final Testament’s leader Karrion Kross to play out. For the former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, he’ll try to continue the success he had in 2024 on a different brand, away from The Judgement Day and his former allies. Hopefully, Priest finds himself back in the title picture, whether that’s against WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes or the United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
