My Favorite Betting Props for Week Two of the NFL Season

NFL

Week Two of the NFL regular season has already started but that doesn’t mean we can’t find some value in the betting market. We saw a lot of NFL stars underperform in Week One but the odds of that happening back-to-back weeks are low. The odd makers and I agree that games like Lions vs. Buccaneers, Rams vs. Cardinals, and Falcons vs. Eagles will be high-scoring games. There are other games like Colts vs. Packers where I see tons of value in certain players' odds. Without further ado, let’s get into my favorite betting props for Week Two.

The first prop I like is Jonathan Taylor's over 78.5 rushing yards against the Packers. Over the past couple of years, the Packers have given up insane performances to running backs. In Week One against the Eagles, the Packers let up 109 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns to Saquon Barkley. Last year against the Detroit Lions, the Packers gave up 121 rushing yards and three touchdowns to David Montgomery. In a game script that favors the Colts because of the amount of possessions they will have due to Jordan Love not playing, I expect Taylor to rush for 85+ yards. Just last week, Taylor had 16 carries and 100% of the running back snaps against an elite Texans’ defense. I trust Taylor to boom in Week Two.

Another prop I love this weekend is Jahmyr Gibbs over 23.5 receiving yards. The Lions will be facing off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are going to be missing tons of their impact players on the defensive end. The Buccaneers were top 10 in blitz percentage last year and they blitzed at a top 10 rate last week against the Commanders. One of the ways to counter the blitz is to check it down to your running back and let him beat his man one-on-one. Jahmyr Gibbs had 34, 11, 40, and 43 receiving yards in his last three games. Gibbs will take over 58% of the snaps in a game projected to have a score total of over 50 points. The game script points towards Gibbs having a good week in the receiving game.

The last prop I like for this week is Breece Hall over three-and-a-half receptions.  In a game against the Niners where the New York Jets never really had the ball, Hall had five receptions on six targets. It is no secret that Aaron Rodgers likes to target his running backs and it helps that Hall is the team's best offensive player. Only four players caught balls from Rodgers last week and Hall was third on the team in total receptions. I would be shocked if Vegas doesn’t move the odds up to 4.5 before Sunday's kickoff. I am not a professional gambler nor am I promising you all of these plays will hit. What I am telling you is that the odds are in your favor for these plays and I believe they will hit.
