Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Indianapolis Colts Week Four Preview
The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to continue their undefeated season this Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, where they face the Indianapolis Colts in a Week Four match. The Colts won the first game of their season over the Chicago Bears in Week Three and are eager to secure a win on their home turf before they spend the next couple of weeks on the road. The Steelers are currently favored over the Colts, no doubt because of their impressive performances throughout the season. However, the Pittsburgh team will have to fight for their victory, as the Colts also have momentum from last week and a home-field advantage.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have not yet confirmed if the team’s original starting quarterback, Russell Wilson, will take the field in Week Four, instead preparing Justin Fields to start the game. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has stated that Wilson is limited in practice and is working towards being able to get playing time. Cory Trice Jr., a cornerback for the Steelers, was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, a decision that resulted from a hamstring injury. Trice has been important to the dominant nature of the defense, wreaking havoc on the opponent's offense by picking off passes. As for the Colts, Kenny Moore II, who finished Week Three’s game with eight tackles and pass defense, has been moved to questionable following a hip injury that happened during the match. Dallis Flowers, a cornerback like Moore, left last week’s game early after earning five tackles for the Colts because of an apparent right leg injury.
Winning against the Pittsburgh Steelers will be no easy feat for the Indianapolis team, as the Steel City has one of the best defenses in the NFL. However, the Steelers’ offense has been somewhat lacking in the past three weeks, totaling 392 rushing yards and 518 passing yards this season. The team has only been able to get three touchdowns this season, leaving room for improvement on that front as well. As for the Colts, Jonathan Taylor, a running back, has continually put on performances this season. Taylor has achieved a total of about five yards per carry these first three weeks and is looking to continue to improve this statistic.
