Raiders vs. Panthers Week Three Preview

NFL

Heading into Week Three, the Las Vegas Raiders are preparing to face the winless Carolina Panthers with confidence, aiming to build on their recent 26-23 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. The Raiders, now 1-1, are riding high after key performances from stars like defensive end Maxx Crosby and wide receiver Davante Adams. Crosby, fresh off being named AFC Defensive Player of the Week, will look to continue his dominance after recording six tackles, two sacks, and five tackles for loss in Week Two. His ability to pressure Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young will be crucial in stifling their offense.

Offensively, Davante Adams remains the centerpiece of the Raiders’ attack, and fans can expect him to be heavily involved against the Panthers’ defense. Adams, one of the NFL’s most reliable receivers, had a solid performance in Week Two and will look to stretch the field and create opportunities for quarterback Gardner Minshew. Minshew, who took over as the starter this season, has shown flashes of his ability to manage the offense, but consistency will be key for him in Week Three. If Minshew can find Adams early and often, it could open up the ground game and make the Raiders’ offense tough to stop.

On the other side, the Panthers are still searching for their first win, coming into this matchup with a 0-2 record. While Bryce Young has shown potential, the Raiders’ defense, led by Crosby, will look to take advantage of his inexperience. With Crosby’s pass rush and the secondary focused on keeping Carolina’s offense in check, the Raiders are in a strong position to secure back-to-back wins. If both the defense and offense fire on all cylinders, the Raiders have a good chance of leaving Week Three with a 2-1 record.
