Run Stuffer Finds New Home

NFL

The Former Tennessee Titan rising star has just signed a new one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. In the 2023 season, Teair Tart had an incredible start for the Titans as one of their best defensive linemen in a talented position group. He is known for his incredible dominance with the bull rush move creating huge piles in the middle making the Titans one of the best rush defenses in the league in past years. Tart is also no stranger to rushing the passer as in 2022 and 2023 he recorded a sack in limited pass rush reps.

The rising star came into the league back in 2020 and ended up going undrafted to the Titans. This was a pleasant surprise for former Titans GM John Robinson as Tart had a very solid college career at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). While at FAU he recorded five and a half sacks in two years played as well as 20 tackles for loss total showing his NFL potential. However, what really got him into the NFL was his size as he comes in at a dominant 305.

With the Dolphins the rising star will be a key piece to their playoff run. Hopefully, with his new team, he will feel that he is valued more so than with the Titans this past season in which he demanded his release. Tart felt that due to his performance, he should have been in the discussions for a long-term contract extension as well as full playing time. While the Titans on the other hand felt he still had not proved himself and that there were effort issues with him. If he can move past his past personal issues and harness his full potential, he can be a star for years to come.
