Should Former Divas Champion A.J. Lee Make an Appearance at Bash in Berlin to Screw McIntyre Against Punk?
Bash in Berlin is right around the corner and rivalries are starting to heat up even more. It’s very hard to predict what’s going to happen with every match on the card getting spicier by the minute. One of these matches is Drew McIntyre facing off against CM Punk once again, but this time, in a strap match. It’s no secret that these two don’t like one another and this upcoming strap match between the two is going to get physical. During the last few months, Drew McIntyre has gotten screwed over more times than one can count in huge matches. A couple of those times getting screwed by CM Punk himself, which has driven McIntyre to the edge. In preparation for this match, McIntyre has done nothing but rattle the cage of Punk, bringing up the bracelet that he wears around his wrist with Punk’s dog Larry on it as well as his wife, A.J. Lee. Thinking about it now, is it possible we could see A.J. show up to Bash in Berlin to screw over McIntyre against her husband CM Punk?
A.J. Lee is a former Divas Champion in the WWE and she made her mark with the company for eight years. A.J. held the Divas Championship for a combined 406 days with three title reigns, which was the longest time a female superstar has held the Divas Championship as well as the most reigns held by a Divas Champion. Her most successful reign as Divas Champion lasted 295 days, which was the second longest Divas title reign in WWE history, standing behind Nikki Bella, who had the longest Divas title reign of 301 days. CM Punk has been known for dropping the iconic pipebomb back in 2011, but A.J. also dropped a pipe bomb of her own when she was champion in 2013. She completely blasted the superstars that were featured on the WWE reality show “Total Divas” calling them, “Cheap, interchangeable, expendable, useless women.” She also mentioned them being, “Women who have turned to reality television because they weren’t gifted enough to be actresses and weren’t good enough to be champions.” So it’s safe to say that A.J. Lee and CM Punk are perfect for one another in that aspect.
A.J. Lee making an appearance at Bash in Berlin to screw over Drew McIntyre in the strap match against CM Punk would make the fans go absolutely berserk. Ever since CM Punk made his return to WWE back in November at Survivor Series: WarGames, the fans have been wondering if A.J. Lee is going to return back to the squared circle. On the matter, CM Punk stated at the Money in the Bank post-press conference that, “As a fan of hers, I would love to see it.” As A.J.’s husband, CM Punk wants to see it and the fans want to see it too. An A.J. Lee return to WWE could change the landscape of the entire women’s division. Punk has also stated that he doesn’t want to give fans false hope of a potential A.J. Lee return to WWE, but only time will tell as we look forward to Bash in Berlin when Punk and McIntyre square off once again.
