The Best NFL Over Win Total Bets
As we approach the start of the NFL season, every NFL fan is evaluating teams around the league and trying to predict how each team’s season will turn out. As we try to speculate which teams will dominate this year and which ones will flame out, we can look at the projected over/under win totals for each team. Therefore, let’s look at which teams we expect to outperform their Vegas expectations.
Jets Over 9.5 Wins
Last year was a devastating season for the New York Jets. After acquiring Aaron Rodgers, this team was expected to reach new heights last season, but instead, they instantly ran into rough turbulence after losing Rodgers to injury only a few snaps in. Since then, Rodgers is back and the Jets have made a considerable effort to bolster this offensive line to keep their quarterback upright. Last year, the Jets went 7-10 and there is a massive difference between Zach Wilson and Aaron Rodgers. This defense is stout and was the main reason this team did as well as they did. With Rodgers back, and this team’s young players ready for a breakout, expect around 11 wins from this team this season as they look to try and take the AFC East division title.
Falcons Over 9.5 Wins
After making the strange selection in the 2024 NFL Draft with Michael Penix Jr., the Falcons made up for it by acquiring both Justin Simmons and Matthew Judon. This defense is going to be massively improved, as will the offense, with a competent quarterback finally at the reins with Kirk Cousins. Last year, the Falcons were 7-10 and similar to the Jets, have a lot of young pieces but were just missing a good quarterback. Desmond Ridder is not a starting quarterback caliber player but Kirk Cousins certainly is, even if he isn’t good in prime-time games. With all the Falcons moves this offseason look for the Falcons to get around 11 wins this season in a weak NFC South division.
Texans Over 9.5 Wins
The Texans are seemingly everyone's bandwagon team after C.J. Stroud’s extremely successful rookie season. I’d expect this type of success to continue for the Texans. Last season, the Texans were 10-7 and they only got better this offseason. The young players who had success last season are going to come into this year with a year under their belt and they added veterans like Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs. This offense is going to be special and the coaching of DeMeco Ryans deserves a lot of praise as the Texans should easily clear 10 wins on the year.
Packers Over 9.5 Wins
Last year, the Packers went 9-8 but still managed to win a big playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. With Jordan Love ready to kick off his second year of starting off a new contract with the Packers, this team should become a serious threat in the NFC. This team is one of the youngest in the league and as this team gets more experience, the better they are going to become. With a great coach pairing with Matt LaFleur leading the team, this team could be ready for take-off this season.
