The Judgement Day is Falling Apart in Front of Our Eyes

WWE

Yesterday, the WWE hosted Backlash in Lyon France which consisted of five super enticing matches. One title changed hands during this event as Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defeated the Kabuki Warriors Asuka, and Kairi Sane for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. However, this pay-per-view was filled with moments that will define how the rest of this year possibly plays out. One of those moments occurred when World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest defeated “Main Event” Jey Uso to retain his title. Priest’s “The Judgement Day” stable members Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh interfered in the match to help “The Judgement Day” leader Priest retain his title. However, their presence caused some internal problems for the entire stable, as the current World Heavyweight Champion does not want anyone, especially from his crew interfering in his matches.

Once Bálor and McDonagh came out to help Priest, the World Heavyweight Champion was not thrilled to see his faction members by his side. McDonagh became a distraction, he was superkicked by Jey Uso, and then Jey hit Priest with an “Uso Splash” to try and take the title away. At the end of it all, Priest would get the win. Both Bálor and McDonagh started to beat on Jey after the match was over, however, the World Heavyweight Champion pulled his two stable members off Uso. Priest even grabbed Bálor by his chin, telling both Finn and JD “That’s enough, he’s done” in reference to Uso. With Rhea Ripley out with an injury, Dominik Mysterio being seen around the same vicinity as Liv Morgan, and Priest, Bálor, and McDonagh out of sync with one another, we could potentially see the end of “The Judgement Day” disbanded by the end of 2024.

One big question came to mind after the match was over, which “Judgement Day” members will turn face, and who will turn heel? Priest told his goons to get off Jey Uso after the match, does this mean we’ll see a face turn by the current World Heavyweight Champion? Perhaps we could see Bálor, and McDonagh get sick of dealing with Priest and we see the two turn face. Once Rhea Ripley gets back to action, then this storyline will truly continue as she is the true leader of this faction with Priest residing as leader while Ripley’s out with injury. She will be the one to band together all of her “Judgement Day” members, and it will truly be captivating to see what happens. Will “The Judgement Day” disband in 2024?
