The Sky's the Limit for the Houston Texans

NFL

Even before the trade for four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs, the Houston Texans were going to have a great 2024 campaign. Now, after this trade, the sky's the limit for this team, and to be one of only four franchises without a Super Bowl championship, this possibility could become a reality. Last season we saw this Texans team fall to the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Divisional Round. If this Texans team can stay healthy, and motivated, while keeping their composure and confidence from last season then perhaps a Super Bowl appearance may be arriving sooner than we know it.

Houston has made some great moves over this offseason besides the Diggs trade. They re-signed Dalton Schultz, signed four-time Pro Bowl defensive end Danielle Hunter, defensive end Denico Autry to a two-year deal, and linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair on a three-year deal, while Joe Mixon was traded from the Cincinnati Bengals. This team is stacked and has the potential to showcase their talents against top-of-the-line AFC Super Bowl contenders such as the Ravens, and the Kansas City Chiefs. It will be interesting to see when the regular season schedule comes out, and how light or difficult the season could go for this team.

C.J. Stroud has the opportunity to show that his rookie season wasn’t a fluke and that he will be a top-ten or even top-five quarterback for years to come. At the NFL Honors, he was named the 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year. This is the year for the Houston Texans to make a name for themselves, not only by potentially winning the AFC South division for back-to-back years but also by hitting the bright lights of the Super Bowl. The sky is truly the limit for the Texans this upcoming season. How far do you think this team will go?
