UFC’s Youngest Prospect Returns to the Octagon

UFC

At just 20 years old, Raul Rosas Jr. remains the youngest fighter on the UFC roster, and this Saturday, he returns to the octagon looking to continue his rapid rise to the top of the Bantamweight Division. Since making history as the youngest fighter to sign with the UFC at just 17 years old, Rosas has been steadily improving. In his debut against Jay Perrin, Rosas became the youngest fighter to not only compete ever but win a bout in the UFC; he had just turned 18. His style consists of relentless grappling and high pressure. His ability to look for the finish early has made him a fan favorite as well. With another opportunity this weekend to showcase his quick improvement, Rosas is eager to prove he’s more than just a young prospect.

Rosas’ game is built around pace and control. From the opening bell, he pushes forward, hunting for takedowns and forcing opponents to fight on his terms. His ability to chain wrestle has made it very difficult for other fighters to stop. Rosas has quite an impressive submission game as well, not allowing his opponents to take a breath once he gets them down. His striking is not exactly a strong point at this stage in his career. However, it’s nothing to glance over, as he does have a KO win over Terrance Mitchell. As he continues to refine his stand-up and continue to improve his grappling, he has the potential to be a legitimate title threat in the near future.

This weekend’s fight is a critical test for Rosas; he’s fighting UFC veteran Vince Morales, who poses a serious challenge with his experience in the UFC, something Rosas lacks. Rosas will look to keep his momentum going and move one step closer to the rankings with a win over Morales. After each fight, Rosas improves dramatically, and with an impressive victory, he could set the table for a big 2025. Rosas is a massive fan favorite and will have a lot of people watching him this Saturday, eager to see if he can take another big step toward UFC stardom.
