U.S. Wins Solheim Cup

Grass grows, the sun shines, and the U.S. has won the Solheim Cup. It's a good time to be a golf fan, with tons of exciting tournaments happening everywhere you look. The Solheim Cup, in particular, features teams from across the globe. The U.S. winning this Cup shows that the players it has representing it are worth their salt. Time will tell how this emboldens their careers in the future.

One of the champions, Lilia Vu, could very easily be an up-and-comer. She has risen to number one in the Women's World Golf Rankings and became LPGA Tour Player of the Year after winning four titles. What makes people good at golf is an open question. Hard work and determination are the most likely answer. When you do something long enough, you get good at it. Some people, however, go above and beyond. Lilia Vu helping the U.S. win the Solheim Cup is proof of her abilities. She's clearly a memorable name.

The question, of course, is, what's next? That's hard to tell. If the U.S. team has similar talent on its side for next year’s Solheim Cup, it’s not hard to imagine that the U.S. will win again. In the meantime, the women who played this year will likely find success in their sport of choice. If they won once, they can do so again. They might say lightning never strikes twice, but that's a myth: it strikes as many times as it likes. Lightning doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Likewise, so long as these players believe in themselves, they can accomplish whatever they please. Whether that's another Solheim Cup win or something else entirely, their future is in their hands. Now that's a hole-in-one.

So in conclusion, the Solheim Cup this year had its ups and downs, but in the end, there was only one winner. Lilia Vu and her team were the winners. If next year's Solheim Cup is half as good as this year's, then it will be a good year indeed. Nothing can match the fun of watching golf players excel at their sport of choice and enjoy themselves doing it. Additionally, this can inspire the spectators to improve themselves in the sport as well. Today's amateur can easily be tomorrow's pro. It will be enjoyable to see how this sport evolves and grows in the future. And with talents like Vu in the game, the future's looking bright indeed.
