Which Superstars Could Win the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble?

WWE

The 2025 Royal Rumble is approaching quickly. In three weeks, 30 men and 30 women will compete in the Royal Rumble match, with the winner getting a free ticket to the main event at WrestleMania. On the January 13th episode of Raw, and the second episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix a bunch of male superstars announced their entry into the Royal Rumble. We already knew LA Knight, Jey Uso, John Cena, and Roman Reigns would be participating, but last night CM Punk, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, and Drew McIntyre announced they will also be joining the stiff competition at the Royal Rumble. Who will get their big moment and head to WrestleMania XLI?

1. Roman Reigns

After beating Solo Sikoa during the premiere episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix in a Tribal Combat match for the Ula Fala and for the Head of the Table, Roman Reigns is turning his head back towards the WWE Undisputed Championship. Reigns lost the title at WrestleMania XL to Cody Rhodes, then did not appear on WWE television until he made his return at SummerSlam. The former WWE Undisputed Champion may look to enter and headline his third duel with Rhodes at their third WrestleMania together for the same championship he wishes he never lost in the first place. Reigns has slowly regained confidence, and now with the Ula Fala around his neck once again, he may go on a warpath to reclaim what was once his. It’s going to be extremely tough getting this version of the Tribal Chief over the top rope.

2. CM Punk

A few months ago after the aftermath of Survivor Series: WarGames, CM Punk announced that he put in a favor with Paul Heyman. While this favor might lead him to the main event at WrestleMania XLI, Punk is certainly looking to do what he can by himself, win the 2025 Royal Rumble, and finally get gold around his waist after a decade of being gone from WWE. His feud with Drew McIntyre and now with Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins have been marquee for fans all across the world. Punk has envisioned headlining WrestleMania for years now and it may be time for his wish to come true. The big question comes down to whether Punk can do it all by himself or will he need to call in that favor from Heyman to make his WrestleMania main event dream happen?

3. John Cena

How can you not have Cena on this list? While he may not be the same super-Cena who won championships all the time, there’s still a great chance, the 16-time champion makes his way back into the main event picture. It would be ironic to see John come out as the 17th entry in the Royal Rumble, would that foreshadow another world title run? If Cena doesn’t win the Rumble, he still has plenty of other opportunities to make his way back to the top of the mountain. Does he get that chance winning the Royal Rumble? As he said, the last time is now, does he make the extra effort to win the 2025 Royal Rumble after not participating in a match in over 2,000 days?
