Who Will Face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 for the WWE Championship?
The WrestleMania 41 card is slowly starting to be built, though one man does not have an opponent confirmed. The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was expected to have the Mania card built around him, but that has not been the case. Since the 2025 Royal Rumble winner Jey Uso is challenging World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at WrestleMania, Cody’s opponent will be decided at the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber. The men’s match will feature John Cena, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Damian Priest, Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre, and Rhodes will definitely be watching it closely.
Unlikely - Logan Paul, Damian Priest
Logan Paul and Damian Priest are the two names that will more than likely not be facing Rhodes at WrestleMania. For Priest, it’s because he was recently the World Heavyweight Champion, and although he had a good reign, it was not good enough for him to get a title shot against Cody Rhodes. Logan Paul, on the other hand, is certainly a big name for Cody to face, though his part-time and celebrity status will be the reason why the WWE looks away from this. There is a chance that either of these two men will win the Elimination Chamber match, though they are very low.
Potentially - Seth Rollins, CM Punk
Seth Rollins and CM Punk are two names that have a long history with Cody Rhodes, and a majority of it hasn’t been positive. However, they have been feuding with each other as well, which is why many fans expect them to face each other off at WrestleMania 41, and not against Cody. Roman Reigns has also been heavily involved with these two, which has resulted in rumors of a triple-threat match. It certainly wouldn’t be a surprise to see either Rollins or Punk win the Elimination Chamber, though it seems that the WWE will be taking a different path this year.
Favorites - Drew McIntyre, John Cena
The two favorites to win the men’s 2025 Elimination Chamber are Drew McIntyre and John Cena. Cena will be competing in his last-ever Elimination Chamber match, as 2025 is his last year as a pro wrestler. This is why it is highly speculated that John will win this match, and face off against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in his last-ever WrestleMania. Drew is also another major name and doesn’t have any WrestleMania 41 plans booked. He has a long history with Cody Rhodes as well, and most recently called him out for turning his back on McIntyre and teaming up with Roman Reigns. These two wrestlers are the most likely options to win the Elimination Chamber, and whoever wins will have a very compelling story with Cody heading into WrestleMania.
