WWE Starting the Buildup to WrestleMania 41

WWE

WrestleMania 41 officially takes place on April 19th-20th, 2025, but WWE is starting to chart a path that leads to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Much anticipated matches we can imagine that the fans all want to see take place on the grandest stage of them all. In the Triple H era, long-term storytelling is the key to WWE’s success, and that is most clearly true for WrestleMania. It’s time to start deciding who will fight for each championship at WrestleMania and begin putting stories together that will be meaningful with a few months until The Show of Shows. The Royal Rumble typically starts the road to WrestleMania, but during this past Monday on Raw, we saw a glimpse into what could be.

This past Monday on Raw, CM Punk opened the show and made it very clear that he will stop at nothing to achieve his dream of main-eventing WrestleMania. He missed out a few months back at WrestleMania 40 because he tore his tricep during the 2024 Royal Rumble match. After some words from Punk, he was interrupted by none other than Seth “Freakin” Rollins. It’s no secret that Punk and Rollins have a huge hatred for one another. If there is going to be a match built up for WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, it’s going to be CM Punk versus Seth “Freakin” Rollins. The whole world wants to see this match as this may be the most anticipated and heated feud heading into WrestleMania 41.

During Raw on Monday, one of the most gifted tag teams of all time, the New Day, celebrated its 10th anniversary. What was supposed to be an exciting and happy moment for them took a turn that nobody was expecting. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turned heel and broke up the group. Their New Day ally, Big E, made a surprising return during the reunion after being out of action due to a broken neck in March 2022. After seeing how Kingston and Woods have been acting the past few months, arguing and bickering with one another, Big E made a promise that he would stick around every week as their manager. In a shocking matter, Kofi and Xavier turned their back on their former partner. They both believe that Big E preferred his commentator role more than being out there with Woods and Kingston when they needed him most. They wondered where Big E had been all this time and why he hadn't been helping the two in the first place. Kingston and Woods then decided to move on from their friend and stick together the two of them. Such a sad moment for wrestling fans around the world as lots of people grew fond of the New Day as a tag team over the years.

The whole world was anticipating either Kofi or Woods to turn on one another, but this was something nobody was expecting. Could this possibly start the buildup for a triple-threat match at WrestleMania 41 between Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E? Will Big E ever become cleared to return to the squared circle? This past Monday’s Raw gave wrestling fans a glance into the future of what could possibly take shape in WWE in 2025. Speaking of 2025, who will John Cena face at his final WrestleMania? Also, will we finally get to witness the “OTC” Roman Reigns go one-on-one with his cousin “The Final Boss” The Rock? Many questions that need answers, but what we do know is that WrestleMania 41 is going to be one for the ages.
