Young and Upcoming Linebacker Signs with the Commanders

NFL

Washington - The Commanders have signed young and upcoming star linebacker, Frankie Luvu to a three-year deal that could be worth up to 36 million dollars. Luvu joined the Panthers back in 2021 after three seasons with the New York Jets where he only started four combined games. His first year in Carolina was nothing special statistically, but as the season progressed, fans began to observe the improvement of Luvu. He became a full-time starter in 2022, starting in 14 of 15 games, and has not looked back. Even though the Panthers finished with the worst record in the NFL this past season (2-15), Luvu was a successful standout on the defensive side of the ball.

Luvu’s 12 and a half sacks in two years are good for second on the team, and the intensity, fire, and determination he plays with are irreplaceable. The undrafted linebacker from Washington State wreaks havoc with blinding speed and with the power of an ox. On a defense that was simply overmatched in 2023, Frankie Luvu consistently brought a spark and played like his hair was on fire every down. Luvu has finally got the contract he deserves after he has put himself in a premier position after having his two career-best years in back-to-back seasons.

Frankie is looking to continue his big-time play with the Commanders He is a real difference-maker on both the defensive and special teams’ side of the ball. He is the first NFL player to block a punt in a season and also finish with at least one sack, three fumble recoveries, and five tackles for loss since states were available in 2000. In the wise words of Coach Dabo Swinney, “You better buy all you freakin’ can buy right now!”. Frankie’s stock is only increasing after his past two seasons and will be a known superstar soon. Luvu is going to provide the electricity and intensity that fills his veins to the Commanders.
