27-Year-Old Offensive Guard Inks Deal to Return to the Rams

NFL

In four seasons playing in the NFL, 27-year-old offensive guard Kevin Dotson has been a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Los Angeles Rams. Last offseason, Dotson, along with a 2024 fifth-round pick, and a 2025 sixth-round pick was traded from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round pick, and a 2025 fifth-round pick. The Rams clinched the sixth seed in the NFC playoff picture in 2023 but were knocked out quickly by the Detroit Lions in the NFL Wild Card Game. After the season ended, Dotson became a free agent. Today, Kevin signed a deal for three years, 48 million dollars, with 32 million being guaranteed with the Rams.

Kevin Dotson played four seasons of college football at the University of Louisiana. He was named Second Team All-Sun Belt in his sophomore season after starting all 12 games. The following season, Dotson was named to the First Team All-Sun Belt. During his senior season, Kevin was named a First Team All-American by the Associated Press, and Second Team All-American by the Sporting News. In the 2020 NFL Draft, he was selected as the 135th overall pick in the fourth round by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Rams offensive line did a great job protecting quarterback Matt Stafford in 2023. They were ranked in sixth place within the NFL in protecting their quarterback, as Stafford was sacked 34 times this season. The 27-year-old offensive guard will look to do the same thing again, this time be named a Pro Bowler in the process, and hopefully make it further within the playoffs.
