Best NFL Player Prop Bets of Week Eight
When analyzing player props in the NFL, it is crucial that we look at matchups for certain players. Many times, players can have dramatically different statistical performances based on what team they are going up against. This is why players can have great performances one week and then underdeliver dramatically the next. However, it is also important that we consider how the game will flow between two teams. So what are this week’s best NFL player prop bets that take all of this into consideration?
Kirk Cousins Under 244.5 Passing Yards
Kirk Cousins and this Atlanta passing offense have had some great success to start the year. With this upcoming matchup coming against the Buccaneers, the Falcons have the chance to take the division lead with a win this week. The Falcons have relied more on the passing game the past few weeks, but this game should be different. Expect Kirk Cousins to get solid action through the air to start the game, but slow down toward the end of the game as the Falcons should be working with a lead.
Bijan Robinson Over 65.5 Rushing Yards
With the Buccaneers missing both Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, the Buccaneers’ offense will be less effective. This, combined with the Buccaneers having one of the worst rush defenses in the league, I’d expect Bijan Robinson and this running game to get action early and often. The Falcons want their offense to focus on the battle of the trenches, so if they are experiencing success with Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier, they won’t let up. By running the ball effectively, the Falcons will be able to control the clock to win this game and cover the spread over their division rival.
Jalen Hurts Under 220.5 Passing Yards
Jalen Hurts will also be under his passing yardage total for a similar reason to Kirk Cousins. The Bengals have a really bad defense against the run, and if Saquon Barkley can run the ball as well as he did last week against the Giants, then they won’t need Jalen Hurts to throw too much in this game. The Eagles want to involve Saquon early and often in every game that they play, and I don’t expect them to approach this game against the Bengals any differently. Additionally, Jalen Hurts has not played well this year. If the Eagles rushing attack is effective, Jalen Hurts won’t be much of a factor in this game.
