Former Offensive Guard Turned Center Signs to the Dolphins

NFL

Last season, Aaron Brewer entered free agency as a restricted free agent and the Tennessee Titans would go on to use their second-round tender on Brewer. A few months later the team announced that Aaron would move from playing offensive guard to center. Brewer would take over the starting center spot after the Titans released Ben Jones and would play in all 17 games during the 2023 season. Now as an unrestricted free agent, the former offensive guard turned center has signed with the Miami Dolphins for three years and his new deal is worth up to 21 million dollars.

Aaron Brewer played four seasons at Texas State University. During his four-year college career, Brewer started in 47 out of 48 games played. He would earn All-Sun Belt Conference selections in each of those four years. Aaron would go undrafted during the 2020 NFL Draft, but a few days later the Tennessee Titans signed him. The former offensive guard turned center would work his tail off to make the Titans 53-man roster.

Brewer and the rest of the Titans’ offensive line struggled tremendously during the 2023 season. Tennessee ranked 29th with 64 sacks allowed on their three quarterbacks last year. The Dolphins will make sure that the former offensive guard turned center turns things around this upcoming season. He still has a lot of potential at 26 years old, but he needs to be of use to Miami before his time playing football is over.
